🏀 PBL Power Rankings – Week 1

The 2025 season tipped off with comebacks, upsets, and statement performances. Here’s where each team stands after the opening weekend.

#1. La Familia (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
The defending champs wasted no time reminding everyone why they wear the crown. Their 34-point dismantling of Detroit Ballerz was a clinic in execution and depth. Trey Lewis and Cameron McEvans led a balanced scoring attack while the defense suffocated early.

#2. CTM (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
After two prior losses to Detroit Panthers, CTM finally got over the hump—and in dominant fashion. Orlando Lovejoy’s poise set the tone, and they buried Detroit with threes and defensive intensity.

#3. Them Boys (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
What an entrance. In their PBL debut, Them Boys took down two-time league champion 2EZ in a nail-biting 70–69 victory. Deandre Hall was electric with 26 points, while the team’s composure in clutch moments felt like anything but a rookie squad.

#4. X-Factor (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
After a disappointing 2024, X-Factor looked renewed. Their 12-point win over No Limit was fueled by efficient shooting and dominant rebounding. Anthony Johnson and Vinson Sigmon controlled the tempo.

#5. Just Different (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
A clutch win over the Sonics in a tight battle. Chuck Bailey’s leadership and scoring ability kept them calm under pressure.

#6. MBK (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
MBK bounced back from a tough 2024 with a vengeance. Their 23-point rout of Legacy featured physical defense and aggressive scoring. Keyshawn Fisher and Rashad Williams brought veteran leadership in a near-flawless effort.

#7. Sommer 7 (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
They imposed their will early and never let go in an 18-point win over Numero Uno. Lorenzo Collier and EC Matthews handled the offense with polish.

#8. Team Boots (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
Dre'Shawn Allen’s 23 points led the way in a tough 5-point win over We Here. Team Boots showed grit and hustle in a game that could’ve gone either way.

#9. East 2 West (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
Ty’ron Jackson had a breakout game scoring 19 and powered East 2 West to a solid win over The Crew. Their free-throw shooting and rebounding made the difference late.

#10. Courtrunners (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
They survived a scare from Empire, but came away with a gritty 3-point win. Patrick Onwenu led the way with 21 points and key plays down the stretch.

#11. Hartford Memorial (1–0)

↑ Last Week: N/A
Week 1's biggest shocker. Hartford stunned the favored Money Team 47–46 behind a clutch performance from Mike Lee. Their defense was the story, holding a high-powered offense to just 46 points.

#12. No Limit (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
Dwight Burton dropped 21, but No Limit couldn’t keep pace with X-Factor’s inside dominance. Still, this is a team with firepower. Expect a bounce-back in Week 2.

#13. 2EZ (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
A 1-point loss to a debuting rookie team wasn’t the start the 2x champions hoped for. Jordan Young was brilliant, but the defense gave up too many clean looks late.

#14. Sonics (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
Djuan Seal scored 27 in a thrilling back-and-forth game with Just Different. But costly turnovers and late-game lapses were the difference.

#15. Empire (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
Empire went cold down the stretch in a tight loss to Courtrunners. Bernard Edwards kept them in it with 23 points, but they’ll need more scoring options.

#16. We Here (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
Dropped a competitive game to Team Boots. The offense looked disjointed at times, but defensive effort was solid.

#17. Detroit Panthers (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
They ran into a hot CTM squad and couldn’t respond. Dominic Guthre had a strong outing, but turnovers and transition defense doomed them.

#18. Detroit Ballerz (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
La Familia overpowered them from the start. While Trenton Temple showed heart with 15 points, they were simply outclassed.

#19. Money Team (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
A one-point loss to Hartford wasn’t the script anyone saw coming. Jody Hill and company never found a rhythm offensively.

#20. The Crew (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
Dropped a tight one to East 2 West. They had their moments but struggled to execute in the final minutes.

#21. Numero Uno (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
An 18-point loss to Sommer 7 exposed some holes in spacing and scoring depth. Dylan Smith’s double-double was a bright spot.

#22. Legacy (0–1)

↓ Last Week: N/A
A tough debut against MBK left Legacy looking for answers. They’ll need to regroup quickly as the schedule doesn’t get easier.

#23. Rebels (0–0)

— Last Week: N/A
The only team yet to take the floor. The preseason buzz is there, but now it’s time to show it on the court.
