Motown North - PBL- Est. 2023

X-Factor Basketball traces its roots back to 2013, when the organization first competed under the name C-Crew. With the re-emergence of the PBL in 2023, the franchise returned with a renewed identity and vision, rebranding as X-Factor Basketball. Inspired by a passion for the X-Men universe, the new name and aesthetic were chosen to represent uniqueness, strength, and the idea that every player brings something special to the team.

The X-Factor brand was built through the shared leadership and vision of the organization’s founder and General Manager Hines, with a strong emphasis on honesty, integrity, and character. More than talent alone, the franchise values players who represent professionalism, accountability, and strong moral character both on and off the court.

At its core, X-Factor Basketball is about building a competitive culture rooted in trust, unity, and respect. The organization strives to create a team environment where high-character individuals can grow together, compete at a high level, and represent the franchise with pride.

Philosophy

At X-Factor, our on-court philosophy is built around physical defense, disciplined team basketball, and complete unity. We believe the game should be played with toughness, intensity, and a commitment to defending at a high level every possession.

Our program emphasizes unselfish play, communication, and accountability, understanding that success comes from playing together rather than relying on individual performances. No player is bigger than the team, and every person within the organization is expected to sacrifice, compete, and contribute toward a common goal. X-Factor basketball is about defending together, trusting one another, and winning through collective effort and discipline.

X-Factor Powers Past Detroit Heat

X-Factor put together a complete team effort to knock off the Detroit Heat 49-39, and two players stood out above the rest as co-Players of the Game.

Derrick "D  Rock" Bolton led the charge with a well-rounded stat line of 10 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal, controlling the pace and setting the tone on both ends of the floor. His ability to facilitate while still finding his own shot gave X-Factor an early rhythm they never relinquished.

Matching him bucket for bucket was Barrion Clemons, who also poured in 10 points to go with 2 rebounds and a steal. Clemons brought energy and physicality in the paint, using his length and hustle to create extra possessions for the offense.

Together, Bolton and Clemons combined for 20 of the team's 49 points, anchoring an X-Factor squad that controlled the tempo from start to finish and never let the Heat find their footing.

With this win, X-Factor continues to build momentum, and if this performance is any indication, Bolton and Clemons will be names to watch as the season progresses.

Final: X-Factor 49, Detroit Heat 39
