Experience met opportunity—and the result was dominance.

Them Boys standout Deandre Hall has officially been named the 2025 PBL Newcomer of the Year, an award given to the league’s top-performing first-year veteran. While new to the PBL hardwood, Hall wasted no time proving he belonged, delivering a spectacular season that saw him finish third in MVP voting and lead his team into the Big 16 Tournament.

Hall’s 2025 Highlights:

• 19.8 points per game

• 60% field goal percentage

• 7.0 rebounds

• 3.9 assists

• 1.1 steals

• 32.8 minutes per game

From the jump, Hall was Them Boys’ go-to guy—scoring with efficiency, crashing the boards, and running the offense like a seasoned pro. His strength, composure, and ability to rise in clutch situations made him a matchup nightmare across the league.

Whether it was slicing through defenses or pulling up for midrange daggers, Hall brought his veteran polish to every possession. His leadership and elite-level play were instrumental in guiding Them Boys to a 5-5 finish and a tournament spot in a highly competitive PBL field.

THE INSIDER TAKE:

“Deandre Hall didn’t just show up—he took over. For a first-year veteran to immediately rise into MVP territory is rare. He’s not just the Newcomer of the Year—he’s one of the most feared players in the league heading into the postseason.”
