A new contender has officially entered the Provin Basketball League, and they wasted no time making noise.
Finish The Game, a brand-new organization founded by former Just Different standouts Latin Davis and Mike Bruce, earned an impressive 79-73 victory over the Avengers in their PBL debut on Sunday night. The win marked the beginning of a new chapter for two players who have spent the past three seasons establishing themselves as some of the league’s toughest competitors.
Over the years, Davis and Bruce became known across the PBL for helping lead Just Different on multiple deep playoff runs. Their chemistry, leadership, and competitive edge helped make Just Different one of the most respected teams in the league. But after falling short of a championship, the duo decided entering their fourth season that it was time to pursue the ultimate goal a different way.
That decision led to the creation of Finish The Game.
Now stepping into dual roles as owners and players, Davis and Bruce are looking to build a culture centered around accountability, toughness, and finishing what they start. If their opening performance is any indication, the rest of the league should be paying close attention.
Mike Bruce led the way in spectacular fashion, pouring in 25 points on an ultra-efficient 10-of-12 shooting performance while knocking down all three of his attempts from beyond the arc. Bruce controlled the pace offensively throughout the game and delivered timely baskets whenever Finish The Game needed momentum.

Ty Groce added a dominant all-around performance with 17 points and 12 rebounds, giving Finish The Game a major presence inside while also contributing efficient scoring. Calvin Blade chipped in 14 points, including two three-pointers, helping stretch the floor offensively.
Latin Davis impacted the game beyond the scoring column, finishing with 7 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists while anchoring the team with leadership and composure. Rahsaan Pope and Desaun Munson each contributed 8 points as Finish The Game showcased balanced scoring and strong team basketball in their first outing together.
Despite a late push from the Avengers in the fourth quarter, Finish The Game stayed poised down the stretch and closed the game with key defensive stops and efficient offensive possessions.
The numbers tell the story of a team already showing strong chemistry. Finish The Game shot an impressive 57% from the field and controlled the glass with 37 total rebounds. For a franchise making its league debut, the performance looked far from inexperienced.
More importantly, the victory sent a message.
Finish The Game is not entering the PBL simply to compete. They are entering with championship expectations.
With proven leadership, playoff experience, and a roster already demonstrating strong cohesion, Finish The Game may quickly become one of the most dangerous new organizations in the league this season.
